Why do we have Stephen Ministry?

The responsibility for passing on God’s love is for ALL Christians. God has given us gifts to share with others. Through Stephen Ministry we can use these gifts to bring Christ’s love to people in need.

Often people with needs suffer silently, or do not request or receive the love or care they really need. Stephen Ministry expands the needed care by equipping others to also provide Christian care, assisting the pastors.

Everyone benefits from Stephen Ministry:

Those receiving care benefit because they receive prayer and support throughout the crisis they face.

Stephen Ministers benefit through the spiritual growth they experience by being involved in meaningful ministry.

Pastors benefit because caring ministry is expanded, assisting them in their responsibilities.

Congregations benefit from the knowledge that special care is available to help those going through difficult times in our congregation and in our community.
